august 2024

Hello. I am sneaking this in just before the end of August! 😎

I hope you have all had a great summer and a restful break from work at some point.

Does your organisation need a marketing audit?

If so, contact me to get started.

This August I was lucky enough to go to Ireland for two weeks to see family and my dad was setting up his first art show at 82 years of age!

It's never too late to set up something new.

Happy Autumn.

5 signs Your Business Needs a Marketing Audit

1. You're struggling with results

2. You have inconsistent branding

3. Your messaging is unclear

4. You're not sure who your competitors are

5. You don't know where to put your marketing spend

If you are a start-up or SME and need to get your marketing off the ground, or if you are an established business but have never done a marketing audit, this provides clarity and direction.

What is a marketing audit?

It is a full analysis of your existing marketing activity. It looks at the competitive landscape, your strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT), the size of the market you’re operating in plus, brand values, messaging and buyer personas.

Reviewing your marketing activity on an annual basis helps to ensure you spend your marketing budget efficiently.

It’s Never Too Late to Do Something New!

This Summer I was thrilled to be able to help my dad who, at 82 years old, decided to set up an Art Show for his local art group and donate some money to the local church if they made any sales.

It was loads of organisation including:

  • Securing the venue

  • Persuading artists to submit their work

  • Hanging all the pictures

  • Pricing the artwork

  • Organising a rota to host the show 10 am-4 pm daily for 10 days

  • Keeping track of sales

  • Distributing revenue back to the artists

  • Making the charitable donation

  • Keeping all the records

  • Wrapping and labelling the pictures and distributing them to the buyers on the last day

During August, this became a family project with three generations involved!

The local paper came down to take photos and loads of summer visitors to Rosslare, Ireland popped along to enjoy looking at the art whilst listening to relaxing music and soaking it all in.

After 10 days, more than a third of the paintings had sold netting more than 1,000 Euros, people were asking what dates the show would be next year and the event was a resounding success.

Who says you can’t do something after a certain age? 🔥

Are You Ready for Autumn?

People are hitting the ground running after the summer break and I’ve had a busy couple of weeks with new proposals and client planning meetings which are all very exciting!

I have some availability this Autumn.
